     An essential component of the level II classification process is the calibration of appropriate bankfull stage field indicators to known streamflow.
     The United States Geological Survey (USGS) maintained a gauging station on a tributary of Yawger Creek in the Cayuga Lake Watershed town of Aurelius from 1976-1986. A field visit was made to this site to collect information necessary to interpret existing USGS hydrologic records.
     The USGS Water Resources Division in Ithaca provided selected flood characteristics of this former USGS site near Auburn.
